Happy New Year
Just wanted to take a second to wish anyone reading this a Happy New Year! I SINCERELY hope your coming year is filled with pleasure and good health. My progress in the train room has been heavily influenced by outside events. The weather has directed my efforts downstairs. Drywall in the crew lounge is almost finished. All “Household” 110v electrical is done. I need to paint walls and floors. All this progress is tempered with a one week, at least, break to help a friend who just went into “Care” to dispose of his trains. I end on a particularly dark and depressing note with an editorial comment. “We” work all our lives in order to live a comfortable retirement, in the case of hobbyist’s, with our trains. I am cruelly aware of the issues surrounding aging. But I cannot see the value, benefit, or sense in focusing our entire lives toward one goal, only to have it snatched away by age, and well intentioned Family.
